Description | This course covers the fundamentals of laser safety and is required training for all users of Class 3B and Class 4 lasers and laser systems. This course was developed by the Safety Training Consortium (STC), an organization of research colleges and universities committed to developing high quality, engaging and cross-certifiable safety training for the university research community.
The course is designed to meet minimum, basic laser safety training requirements mandated by applicable State and Federal regulations and NMSU policies. Additional safety and operator training will be provided by the owner (PI) of the specific laser system you use.

There is a final exam at the end of the course. You must score at least 80% to receive training credit. Once completed,
