Lifting and Ergonomic Safety is important for prevention of back injuries and office related injuries.
Course Content Includes:
1. Techniques and illustrations on proper lifting for different loads based on shapes, height and location for back injury prevention.
2. Office ergonomics and typical symptoms office symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders.
3. Ergonomic engineering adjustments involving the workstation, chairs, working height and display screens
4. Ergonomic administrative solutions involving the nature of the jobs, task repetition, and work schedule
It includes discussion and examples on repetitive motion, personal attributes, stretching exercises, and local resources as well as helpful hints.
Instruction methods: Lecture, slide presentation, example exercises, and performance evaluation(quiz).
