This fork-lift refresher training and skill assessment is required to maintain NMSU operator permit for fork lift use. Prerequisite: Fork Lift Safety Course Contents Include: 1. Hands-on review of forklift operational skill 2. Review of understanding of techniques for safe forklift use. 3. Hazards associated with forklift operations. 4. Discussion/check of Federal and State regulations on forklift operations and overview of OSHA 1910.178. Who should attend: All NMSU employees with fork lift operator permit. Please note that, individuals under 18 years of age are not allowed to operate forklifts (OSHA reference). Training Frequency: Refresher required every 3 years (at minimum).
