In Canvas, "Assignments" refer to any scored student work--online submitted assignments, unsubmitted activities, scored discussion, or even quizzes. Assignments can be grouped to make grade weighting easier, and teachers can quickly and easily score Assignments using the speed grader. Rubrics are an assessment tool for communicating expectations of quality within course content. Rubrics can also shorten grading time while conveying meaningful and timely student feedback. This session will demonstrate the different types of assignments found within Canvas and how rubrics can be integrated to clarify expectations.
