Abstract
Do you want students to become better consumers of information in your discipline?
During this workshop we will discuss effective activities that can be integrated into any course to help students not only understand where to find resources at the library, but also to reflect on the value, credibility and purpose of that information. Information literacy is a life-long skill, so we will discuss how to design these assignments to teach transferrable skills that will be relevant even after students leave the confines of the university setting.
Key to this, we will discuss the role the library and our staff can play in helping you design and implement these assignments.
