Description | Course Description: This course covers topics on how to work safely and minimize the risks associated with field research. Field hazards are more dynamic and less controlled than they are in on-campus indoor settings.
Course Objectives: After completing this module, the learner will be able to:
1. Distinguish between your role and responsibilities as a field researcher and the roles and responsibilities of the principal investigator and team leader.
2. Recognize the importance of preparing in advance for time in the field including medical, travel, equipment, and training preparations.
3. Identify potential risks and hazards involved in fieldwork and methods used to mitigate them. |
